Peel Smart Remote for Pronto has been designed to work for Non-IR Android phones i.e which has no IR blasters in-built on phones.
Most of Smart TVs and Set-top boxes can be controlled over WiFi and this is called IP control. Please note that your phone and TV should be on same network.
IP Control Remote:
You need to have devices that support IP Control over network. At this point, we have limited supported list of devices: DirecTV, Dish Network, Samsung TV(selected models), Sony(selected models), Roku, etc.
We are working to support more diverse set of devices.
IR Control Remote:
As an alternative+reliable way, we recommend to achieve Universal remote controlling from Peel supported Pronto IR Blaster device that is available to buy in market currently. With Pronto + Peel, you would be able to control over 2000+ TV brands and many other devices as well.
